Specialist Teacher Advisory Service (STAs) review questionnaire

Hampshire County Council is undertaking a review of the Specialist Teacher Advisory Service (STAs) and are seeking views on proposals for changes to the Service and are keen for parents, carers, children and young people to help shape its future activities.

The STAs Service is being reviewed to refocus resource and provide a more efficient and effective service that better meets the needs of children and young people.  The review aims to improve services and identify opportunities to reduce the existing pressure on the budget and make savings from the Service’s budget, which totals £3,132,000. This saving would contribute to alleviating the high needs block pressure.

We would be grateful if you could participate in the consultation by completing the online questionnaire.

This consultation focuses on phase two of the review of the service with proposals, which have been informed by the engagement activity that we undertook during the autumn term with parents and other stakeholders. The first phase of this was completed in August 2018 and led to some changes to the management and administration of the STAS which have now been implemented. These changes have led to a more consistent and holistic approach to the Service’s leadership.

The consultation is open from Tuesday 22 January 2019 and closes at 23:59pm on Saturday 09 March 2019. Please note that responses received after this date will not be included in the findings report.
