Wheelchair access out and about

When your child or young person is a wheelchair user or has limited mobility it can be difficult to find places to go that are accessible.

There are a few links on this page that should be helpful for when you are out and about:

  • An interactive map of Hampshire enables people to find local parks and amenities. The map links through to the relevant district / borough council webpages which include information about parks, playgrounds and open spaces.

  • Hampshire County Council have put together a list of links to local countryside sites with facilities for less mobile visitors including accessible trails and walks. You can also find the link on the "Accessible Countryside" external link on the right of this page.

  • Hampshire County Council have worked with the organisation DisabledGo to provide access guides and information for a huge number of public places and venues in Hampshire including Leisure Centres, parks, beaches, shops, railway stations and many more. You can view this guide by using the link on the right of this page.
