Travelling by train

If you have a disability and travel by train, you may be eligible to apply for a Disabled Persons Railcard.

The Disabled Person’s Railcard is a national card that gives you a third off your rail fares.  You can use your railcard at any time of day to get this discount.

It also allows a family member, friend or carer to accompany you, with the same discount applied to their ticket.

You can find out more and apply online at www.disabledpersons-railcard.co.uk

Travelling by bus

If you have a disability and travel by bus, you may be eligible for a disabled persons bus pass.

In Hampshire, with a disabled persons bus pass, you can travel for free, all day on any services starting in Hampshire (but not Portsmouth or Southampton).  The bus pass also entitles you to free off peak travel nationally.

To find out more and apply online, visit the Hampshire County Council website.
