Colleges & Post-16

All children and young people have the right to full-time education up to the age of 16 and must then do one of the following until you’re 18; stay in full-time education, for example at a college; start an apprenticeship; or spend 20 hours or more a week working or volunteering, while in part-time education or training.

Many young people with special educational needs and disabilities benefit enormously from these last few years, whether they stay on at school, move to a college of further education or sixth form college, or start an apprenticeship or training.

Whoever you are and whatever you're interested in for a future career there will be an option that is right for you. These pages are here to support you in finding that option.

You can review relevant information on the right hand side, as well as our helpful "what are my options" postcards.
