Live & Live it is a Husband and Wife Founded, Private Children’s Occupational Therapy Service in Horsham.
Stewart and Ashleigh identified a need for more services for children and families whilst working as play workers for children. Ashleigh went on to train as an Occupational Therapist qualifying in 2013 and subsequently worked in school and in a private practice.
Live & Love it was founded in 2017 to support children and families to Live their Life and Love it too. Therapy goals are guided by the family and therapy session are designed to ensure children and families have fun whilst they are developing new skills!
The Person, Environment, and Occupation model guides our practice.
During the assessment phase, we consider how all of these aspects support and pose barriers to children and families participating and finding fulfillment in their daily occupations (activities).
Person – What strengths and needs does the child and family currently have within their skill set?
Environment – How do the environments that the child and family access (home, school, community) positively or negatively impact on the families ability to engage in activities within it?
Occupation – How does the type of activity or way it is presented support or impact upon the child and families ability to participate in it?
