 This Holiday Scheme & Saturday Club is currently running from The Bradbury Centre for service users 8 to 18yrs old, the venue details are below. 

This activity will offer your child the opportunity to meet and form new friendships whilst taking part in a wide range of activities and trips in a safe, secure environment The Rose Road Association provides high quality services for children and young people with disabilities. Description

The Rose Road Association is a charity that provides services for over 300 children and young adults with severe physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and/or autism.

We are based in Southampton in the UK, and also work across Hampshire and surrounding counties.

What does your service do?

All our schemes provide a wide range of high quality activities that children and young people can participate in meaningfully with friends. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and will adapt our sessions to suit each individual child or young person's needs as much as possible.

This includes: free play, role play, cooking, crafts, messy play, sensory area, games, various trips and visits, swimming and so much more. All the schemes include quiet areas for children and young people to take time out and relax if needed.

Who does your service provide for?

The Rose Road Hythe Saturday Club provides for children & young people between the ages of 8 to 18 years, who have disabilities & additional needs.   

your child/young person will need to have a New Gateway + Card to access the Activities.

Where is it located and what areas does it cover?

Rose Road is located at the Bradbury Center in Aldermoor Road, Southampton, SO16 5NA. 

 

How are decisions made about who can use your service?

We will ask you to complete a Care Plan for your child/young person to ensure we can meet their individual needs. 

You will then need to complete a booking request form for your chosen venue, date & activity, there are limited places so it is advisable to send in your request asap. Places will be allocated on a first come basis. 

 

How do you communicate with service users and how are they involved in decision making?

Staff will ask service users what activities they like or want to do for future activities during sessions.

We base our planning on what we know our regular service users enjoy, Care Plan information & verbal feedback. 

Is your service fully accessible?

This service is fully accessible. 

What training are the staff supporting children and young people with SEN and Disabilities had or are having?

We have a a mandatory training programme that all staff are required to attend with further intensive training to deal with more complex & additional needs. 

 

How will I know my child is safe?

All of our venues are Risk Assessed by Rose Road.   This venue has a secure door locking system & alarm.  All staff are trained in Safeguarding, Health & Safety & Fire Awareness.
