The Elizabeth Foundation for babies and preschool deaf children
Founded by parents of a deaf child, The Elizabeth Foundation is a national charity supporting young children with all degrees of deafness to learn to listen and talk. We provide education and support services for babies, toddler and preschoolers with all degress of deafness at our purpose-build family centre in Portsmouth, Hampshire. We also offer regular sessions for babies with unaided deafness, and for children with additional and more coplex needs as well as deafness. For families all of the UK and Ireland who are unable to travel to our Family Centre on a regular basis, we provide support through our innovative Let's Listen and Talk online educational programme (www.letslistenandtalk.org) and our popular Summer Residential Programme. All of our programmes have 'Specialist' accreditation through Speech and Language UK, the highest level of accreditation offered for a communication programme, as well as 'Outstanding' education rating through Ofsted.
