Curious Explorers Day Nursery Fleet is located in the heart of Fleet, very close to the high street.

The nursery cares for children from 3 months old up to 5 years old.

It is a lovely setting with light rooms that all has  access to our large garden where children can play and grow their own fruit and vegetables.

All of the children have the chance to move around the nursery's five rooms to learn new things in a safe and fun way.

Staff ensure children's social, personal and communication skills are developed via the nursery's many fun activities and child-led play opportunities.

The nursery has highly qualified, caring staff, looking after children between the ages of birth and five years of age.

All children are able to develop their full potential at their own pace.

Children can eat healthy, well-balanced and delicious food prepared at the nursery.

An online learning journal tracks each child’s progress and can be accessed by parents and carers.

An online care journal keeps you updated about your child's care through out the day.

Description

We observe children very closely on a daily basis.

If there are symptoms or signs that causes concern we will address it firstly with the parent/s.

We will then work alongside the parents to see if we can manage the concern

Once we have gathered enough information we will ask for support from outside agencies and the local authority.

If a parent thinks their child may have special educational needs they should talk to the manager or key carer who will then organise a meeting with the SENCO who will follow our procedure as stated above.

How does the setting/school/college know if children/young people need extra help and what should I do if I think my child/young person may have special educational needs?

All our staff are highly trained to accommodate and teach all children regardless of their ability.

How will early years setting/school/college staff support my child/young person?

The owners, that have teaching and behaviour analyse backgrounds support staff with planning for children with special educational needs.

How will the curriculum be matched to my child's/young person's needs?

The curriculum will be tailored to each individual child.

All children get the opportunity to experience the curriculum. We will assess a child once they start with us and then plan their next steps according to their needs and ability.

We use the local authority and outside agencies to support our planning for children with additional needs.

How will both you and I know how my child/young person is doing and how will you help me to support my child's/young person's learning?

We use Tapestry to track children on the 7 learning areas according to the EYFS.

In some cases we use an Ann Locke form to identify the gaps more clearly.

What support will there be for my child's/young person's overall well being?

Additional support for each child's well being is provided on a personal and individual manner that meets the needs of each child.
