Support Buddies
- Supporting people with:
- Special educational needs and or disabilities (SEND)
Support Buddies offers personal support for vulnerable young people and adults in Hampshire including learning, active, social and emotional support.
A Support Buddy is able to provide an unmatched level of one-to-one care and above all, we are buddies. We build strong relationships with the people we work with on a solid foundation of trust.
Support Buddy Values:
- Being the best
- Giving people choice, respect and dignity
- Listening to each individual to provide the best support we can
- Outcome-focused
- Recognising diversity
- Person-centred
- Inclusion is key
Support Buddies works closely with local organisations and bodies such as the Hampshire Safeguarding Adults Board. We are professional in following the latest legislation such as the Care Act, Care Certificate and the right safety checks.
We work with a diverse range of young people and adults including those with learning difficulties, Asperger syndrome, visually impaired, physical disability, Williams syndrome, Down Syndrome and autism. We also understand the unique challenges faced when either leaving school, transitioning to further education or transferring to a day support service.
Please do get in touch if you'd like to have a chat about how we can help.

- Notes
Support Buddies delivers support for people with a variety of needs, including those with challenging behaviours, physical disabilities or other health conditions.
Our approach means that each individual will receive support that is tailored to their specific needs, however complex those needs might be.
You'll notice we don't use the word 'service user' and you won't see us in any branded uniform when out and about in the community. The reason for this is that we're passionate about ensuring that we develop trust with individuals, making them feel as comfortable as possible at all times.
By offering people using our services the benefits of community based support, we are able to provide the kind of support that develops their confidence and social skills, as well as establishing a beneficial routine. By offering this kind of support they are able to maintain independence, while still experiencing a fulfilled life.
