To provide some relief for busy parents and fun for active children during those long school holidays, we've designed, organise and run our popular OFSTED Registered Planet Active Holiday Camps.
Ideal for children aged 5 to 14 years, our active courses enable children to enjoy a wide variety of energetic holiday activities and sports in a safe and supportive environment. These range from traditional favourites like football, tennis and cricket to new additions such as dodgeball, tag-rugby, ‘capture the flag’ inflatables, go-karts and Sports Leader Courses.
Our active childcare holiday camps are all specifically designed with the working parent in mind and are Ofsted registered and regulated. This enables parents to use their government issued childcare vouchers to help with the cost of their childcare. We are registered with over 20 different childcare voucher companies, which can be used as full or part payment for your childcare provision.
Our active childcare holiday camps are not just about participating in safe, fun and healthy activities, they go much further and ensure each child's personal welfare is looked after by:
- Building confidence & self-esteem.
- Imparting key values of respect, integrity & teamwork.
- Emphasising Fair Play.
- Building character.
- Nurturing wider learning through carefully designed activities.
Within our inclusive active childcare holiday camps, we start by dividing the children into small groups before they choose a country for their group's name. They then earn points for their country in a wide range of ways, such as good teamwork, leadership, determination, ability and behaviour, for example.
Throughout the active childcare holiday camp, children are given a word of the day each day to learn and understand, as well as being asked to research the nation whose name their group carries. Topics can range from learning a fact about their chosen country or its language to creating that nation's flag. We find that this static activity enables creativity and keeps the children engaged.
