The Romsey Opportunity Group (ROG) has a long history of being a highly regarded and much needed community based project in the centre of Romsey. It provides facilities for children from babies to 5 years old with special needs and their families. Children attend with a wide range of different special needs from Cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome, Brain damage, Autism, Developmental delay and Sensory Impairments.

The Romsey Opportunity Group is one of the few Special Needs Centres in Hampshire for this age group. No fees are charged to children/families; all monies being obtained by Donations, Fund-raising and Grants.
The group meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursday morning at the Appletree centre which is near to the centre of Romsey (behind Romsey Library). Parents can walk into Romsey for a coffee break, shopping and much needed respite.
*The Group is OFSTED approved for the Care Component.
**Pre-school siblings are accommodated when possible.

At the group all children have a 1:1 keyworker and the workers take instruction from Portage and speech and language therapists. They also support the parents and the parents support each other. No fees are charged to children/families – all monies being obtained by donations, fund raising and grants. They go out for lunch together or shopping while their children are looked after. The group meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 10am-12pm at the Appletree Centre, Princes Road, Romsey, SO51 8DS. Spaces are still available. Click here to view their website.
