Twice annual parent meetings, additional meetings.  Blossom communication (online observations, parent app)

What support will there be for my child's/young person's overall well being?

Settling in Key person allocated to smooth transition into setting, if deemed appropriate (ie. Child builds a strong relationship with another adult) key person is changed once child is settled.  Regular communication via Blossom, including parent newsletters. Open door policy for parents to discuss issues at drop off or pick up times.

Settling in visits – 2 as standard more if deemed necessary on child by child basis.

Transition to school support as required.

Level flooring, no changes of levels throughout, wide doorways and disabled toilet.

 

How are the setting's/school's/college's resources allocated and matched to children's/young people's special educational needs?

New resources purchased if possible.

SEN resources kept separate so accessible when required and not damaged by over play from other children.

Range of resources available to allow best fit to be determined.

How are parents involved in the setting/school/college? How can I be involved?

Regular communication via Blossom.  Parent meetings (at least 2 per academic year)

Open door policy, email/whatsapp, Blossom chat function.

If suitable parents invited to observe child in setting.

Parents are partners in child’s learning and development.
