Bluebird Care Hampshire Disability Cricket Programme delivers fun, cricketing skills, team working skills, confidence building, exercise, respite for carers. Sessions run by minimum UKCC2 qualified DBS checked coaches Hampshire Cricket Board has one of the most advanced disability cricket programs in the country. The Bluebird Care Disability Cricket Programme provides training and competitive opportunities for people of all ages with a variety of learning, emotional and physical disabilities. The HCB also supports the Hampshire Visually Impaired Cricket Club to provide opportunities for cricketers who are blind and partially sighted. Disability Cricket in Hampshire has received financial support from a wide variety of sources including individuals, charities and private companies. Particular thanks must go to headline sponsor Bluebird Care. The Bluebird Care Hampshire Disability Cricket Programme was voted Best Sports Project at the National Lottery Awards 2011. Hampshire Cricket Board will strive to include all in its training sessions wherever and whenever it is practical to do so.
