The Drawing Worlds Project - Mental and Emotional Health Programme (for ages 16-19 years)

I'm Isabel and I provide short term mental health interventions (Tier 1/Tier 2).
My Mental and Emotional Health Programmes are a pro-active way of supporting your teen's mental health. It’s a safe and gentle way of working that allows people to work through their emotions and feelings on a sub-conscious level - no awkward questions about how they’re feeling, what they have experienced previously, or what they’re going through now. It works through a short term 12 week pro-active intervention called Drawing and Talking Therapy and I am a qualified Independent Practitioner for Drawing and Talking Therapy. Despite its name, you don’t need to be good at drawing to join the programme. Your child or teen draw whatever they want and then we both enter into the world created by their drawing.
My programmes can help teens (16-19 years) who are struggling in all sorts of ways including:
*anxiety *poor sleep *changing relationships *coping with divorce or separation *loss, *grief and bereavement *struggling at school or with attendance *feeling angry or argumentative *withdrawing *low self-esteem *changes in health or a new diagnosis (for them or others) *panic attacks *retreating into technology *inner turmoil
Appointments are available weekdays, weekends and after school, with no long waiting lists. Each 12 week programme includes a weekly 1:1 session lasting 30 minutes, with each session costing £30 (payable weekly, fortnightly or monthly or by arrrangement).
I offer a free introductory session so you and your child or teen can find out how these programmes can help improve mental health and a chance to try out some creative calm activities.
I have over 10 years experience of working inclusively with children and adults through a person-centred and empowering approach to building creativity and confidence. This includes supporting children and adults with a wide variety of additional needs, such as learning and physical disabilities, neuro-diversity, mental health support needs, those experiencing bereavement and grief, those experiencing changes in health or new diagnoses. As a professional artist, I teach all sorts of art activities to a wide variety of children and adults of all ages.
