The Girl with the Curly Hair Project

CHP was founded in 2013 by Alis Rowe, a young lady diagnosed with ASD at the age of 22. This was in response to the lack of information to available to families post diagnosis. The social enterprise organisation has now grown to 80,000 followers on Facebook, 20 books, film animations exemplifying the difficulties faced by people with AS in social situations and training. Although originally intended for females with AS (who are increasingly being diagnosed), our work is also boys, for families, for professionals, indeed for anyone with/involved with AS. We offer high quality training & support for individuals & their families, delivered from the unique perspective of those living with the neurological condition. Our work is endorsed by leading Autism expert Professor Tony Attwood & is on the post-diagnosis list for doctors.

How can CHP help you? We offer training//advocacy which offers real strategies to support people in managing the symptoms of ASD. We have a wealth of resources available to purchase on our website including: books, visual guides (great for children), lanyards, autism alert cards & much more. We can also offer training & workshop sessions to family groups & professionals delivered by qualified specialist teachers who either have children with AS/have AS themselves.
